Donghe Recreational Farm

Donghe Farm is located within the Taiyuan Valley of the Hualien-Taitung Coastal Mountain Range, covering an area of approximately 600 hectares. It is one of the branch farms under Taitung Farm, which is managed by the Veterans Affairs Council, Executive Yuan, and also a contracted vacation center for civil servants under the Directorate-General of Personnel Administration, Executive Yuan. The area preserves complete flora and fauna ecosystems and natural landscapes, making it suitable for hiking, bird watching, and camping. The farm is situated in Beiyuan Village, serving as a vital passage on the shortcut directly connecting Taiyuan Valley to the Hualien-Taitung Rift Valley. The area boasts well-preserved flora and fauna ecosystems and natural landscapes. Here, visitors can hike, overlook the Taiyuan Valley basin, and admire the rock caves and cliff views. Its tranquil mountain wilderness, fresh air, and clear water quality make it a worthwhile destination for visitors.
