The East Coast National Scenic Area is located along the coastal areas of Hualien and Taitung counties, stretching between the eastern side of the Coastal Mountain Range and the Pacific Ocean. It extends from the mouth of the Hualien River in the north to the Xiaoyeliu Scenic Area in the south, boasting a coastline over 170 kilometers long. The most distinctive geological features of the East Coast are found at Shitiping, Sanxiantai, and Xiaoyeliu. Rafting on the Xiuguluan River is renowned throughout Taiwan and is a popular summer tourist destination. Within the area, visitors can engage in activities such as rafting, whale watching, and diving. The unique coastal landscape, ecology, and rich indigenous culture intertwine to create the enchanting splendor of the East Coast. The Duli Visitor Center is located within the headquarters complex of the "East Coast National Scenic Area Administration" in Duli, Chenggong Township, Taitung County. Situated with mountains behind and facing the sea, it offers views of Chenggong Township and Sanxiantai to the north, and Green Island to the south. The surrounding environment is exceptionally rich and beautiful, emblematic of the East Coast, and highly capable of sparking visitors' interest in exploring the region. Inside the visitor center, there are areas such as the Amis Zone, Marine Zone, East Coast Landscape Zone, and Interactive Experience Zone. Through multimedia interactive facilities, films, models, and real object displays, the center vividly presents the East Coast's animal and plant ecology, cultural characteristics, and recreational activities, allowing visitors to experience the unique features of the East Coast right here. A Starry Sky Theater with a capacity for 130 people shows introductory films, and the outdoor environment is beautiful and worth lingering in.
