Xingzhong Tourist Night Market

In the 1960s and 1970s, most vendors were concentrated near Tianhua Theater on Siwei Road in Kaohsiung City. Due to the landlord's request to reclaim the vacant land, the vendors relocated to the vicinity of Xingzhong Road and Wenheng Road. In the 1990s, with the successive openings of nearby Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Department Store and SOGO Department Store, many shoppers gathered, and the Sanduo Commercial District gradually took shape, establishing a habit for people to dine and buy drinks here. Currently, to enhance the Sanduo Commercial District, the Kaohsiung City Government is actively promoting an environmental improvement plan for the Xingzhong Tourist Night Market. This plan includes standardizing vendor stalls and unifying signages, aiming to provide the public with a dining environment that is not only visually appealing but also clean.
