Shoushan Zoo

The largest public zoo in Southern Taiwan and one of Taiwan's three municipal zoos. In 2022, it improved animal habitats and outdoor activity spaces, and established animal-friendly aerial observation walkways and sunken exhibition corridors, allowing visitors to observe animals' daily lives up close from different angles with minimal disturbance. It is an educational venue suitable for family recreation, outdoor education, and ecological popular science. The new Shoushan Zoo implemented several improvements to the park's visitor routes, including a park train, a waterscape plaza, interesting videos, and interpretive signs. They also renovated old enclosures, opened up parts of the roofs to introduce sunlight and rainwater, improved ventilation, cleanliness, and drainage in the enclosures, creating comfortable living spaces for the animals.
