Sizihwan is located on the west side of Kaohsiung City, at the southwestern foot of Shoushan Mountain. It borders Wanli Mountain to the north and Cijin Peninsula to the south, serving as a yellowish-clear and turquoise-blue bathing beach. This bay is renowned for its beautiful sunsets and natural reefs. Approximately a 20-minute drive from the city center, it is nestled between mountains and sea, offering pleasant scenery. As dusk falls, it adorns the sea with a magnificent charm, with fishing boat lights twinkling in the distance. The sunset at Sizihwan is one of the Eight Sceneries of Kaohsiung. The breathtaking beauty of the sea and sky merging is stunning. At dusk, couples are often seen here, sharing romantic moments, creating an even more poetic and picturesque scene. National Sun Yat-sen University is situated within the Sizihwan Scenic Area, leaning against Shoushan Mountain and bordering Sizihwan. Its campus is lush with trees and vibrant with flowers, and its buildings are exquisite, making it a beautiful university. From the visitor service center to the left of National Sun Yat-sen University, one can enter Sizihwan Beach. In summer, groups of tourists always come here to play in the waves and swim, making it exceptionally lively.
