Tainan Tiantan Temple

Commonly known as "Tiangong Temple," it is primarily dedicated to the Jade Emperor, who presides over Heaven. Many Chinese people, strongly believing in fatalism, visit this temple when they encounter difficulties in life. They come to ask the Jade Emperor for guidance and to seek a change of fortune, a ritual that involves transferring bad luck to a straw figure and receiving good luck in return. Local residents come to worship on the first and fifteenth days of each lunar month, praying for the safety and well-being of their entire family. Furthermore, a grand birthday celebration for the Jade Emperor is held on the ninth day of the first lunar month.
