Aogu Wetlands

Aogu Wetlands is a reclaimed land area belonging to Taiwan Sugar Corporation, located in Dongshi Township, Chiayi County, covering over a thousand hectares. Within its boundaries, you can admire a variety of wetland landscapes, including lagoons, sandbars, fish farms, and casuarina forests, forming an ecological space that attracts a large number of waterbirds. In fact, to observe the waterbirds, you can spot them in the groves of trees alongside the embankment. Species like egrets, black drongos, Japanese white-eyes, and black-crowned night herons often linger on the branches.
