Houli Horse Ranch

The Houli Horse Ranch covers a total area of 14.9628 hectares. In recent years, the city government has undertaken a comprehensive renovation of the park, including the construction of the Floral Dance Hall (Huawu Hall). Following two major events, the 'Taichung World Flora Expo 2018' and the 'Taiwan Lantern Festival 2020,' and to sustain tourism momentum and innovate the park's operations, the Taichung City Government Tourism and Travel Bureau entrusted 'Taiwan Leisure and Sports Technology Co., Ltd.' to operate the Houli Horse Ranch and Floral Dance Hall for 10 years. By leveraging the professional management spirit and expertise of a private enterprise, the aim is to provide high-quality recreational spaces and diverse services, efficiently manage existing facilities, expand the versatile functions of public facilities, and create Taiwan's largest equestrian sports, education, and cultural experience park. Equestrianism is often regarded as a sport for the nobility, but Taiwan Leisure and Sports Technology Co., Ltd. aims to develop 'public-friendly' equestrianism. The historic buildings of the horse ranch, such as the headquarters and the director's dormitory from the Japanese colonial era, have been transformed into themed restaurants, cafes, cultural and creative shops, and exhibition halls, preserving the elegant Japanese atmosphere. Furthermore, equestrian experiences are promoted to the public to fulfill corporate social responsibility and create a prosperous future for local tourism development in the Houli area.
