Eighteen Peaks Mountain

Eighteen Peaks Mountain extends from the northern suburbs of Hsinchu County southward. It is a "Forest Park" developed during the Japanese colonial era, roughly crescent-shaped, and winding for about 7 to 8 kilometers, perfectly embracing the eastern and southern suburbs of Hsinchu City. The name "Eighteen Peaks Mountain" is said to derive from its actual 18 peaks. Its highest point is 131.79 meters, its lowest point is 50 meters, and its average slope is 40%. With lush forests, smooth asphalt roads, and fragrant flowers along its paths, the air on Eighteen Peaks Mountain's tree-lined avenues is fresh and invigorating. It has become one of the essential routes for Hsinchu citizens for exercise and leisure. In recent years, to ensure citizens can exercise safely, the city government has prohibited vehicles from entering between midnight and 8 AM daily. You can reach the mountain by walking along Bo'ai Street from Hsinchu Senior High School of Commerce. There is a "Jieshou Pavilion" at the highest point, and the Stone Guanyin within the mountain forest is also a major point of interest for visitors.
