Jiaobanshan Park

Jiaobanshan Park, also known as "Fuxing Park," is located on the southwest side of Jiaobanshan. Covering a vast area, the park features over a dozen tall maple trees whose poignant and vibrant red leaves often captivate visitors in late autumn, inspiring contemplation. Additionally, ancient pine trees and massive old plum trees are abundant. During flowering season, the park transforms into a breathtaking sea of pink and green blossoms. Along the park paths, there are two large banyan trees planted by President Chiang Kai-shek and his wife. To enhance the artistic and cultural ambiance of Jiaobanshan and connect with world-renowned artists, the Taoyuan City Government invited 12 international masters, including Wu Hsüan-san, in 2003 (Year 92 of the Republic of China calendar) to create public art pieces within the park. This initiative established it as Taiwan's first world-class "Sculpture Park" and a public art education venue. The highly creative sculptures, seamlessly integrated into the local landscape, have significantly boosted tourism to Jiaobanshan.
