Fushan Botanical Garden

The Fushan Botanical Garden is part of the experimental forest managed by the Fushan Branch of the Taiwan Forestry Research Institute. The garden systematically collects, preserves, and cultivates woody plants from Taiwan's mid-to-low altitudes, aiming to become a museum of plants, serving as a base for forestry research, teaching internships, ecological environmental education, and the preservation of forest tree germplasm. The layout of the garden's exhibition areas is primarily based on Engler's classification system, featuring sections for gymnosperms, Choripetalae, Sympetalae, rhododendrons, bamboos, and other groups. Additionally, there is a special-purpose plant area based on the plants' specific uses, and according to ecological characteristics, there are aquatic and herbaceous plant areas, with natural forests preserved to display native forest stands.
