Located south of Taipei City and east of the Xindian River stands the 'Museum of World Religions'. Established in November 2001 (Republic of China Year 90) on the upper floor of Yonghe Pacific Department Store (now Biyang Plaza), the Museum of World Religions aims to be a place for understanding global religious cultures and promoting 'life education'. The museum utilizes extensive multimedia interactive displays, allowing visitors to gain a comprehensive understanding from various aspects such as religious artistic expression, classic scriptures, music, religious rituals, and architectural features, experiencing the museum's founding philosophy of 'love' and 'peace'. It also offers every visitor an unforgettable experience, their first encounter with the beauty of religion. Entering the visit journey by touching the purifying water curtain wall, the Museum of World Religions can be said to be full of 'codes' everywhere. The 'Huayan World' exhibition area creates a sacred imagination and expectation when gazing at the sky; the 'Grand Hall of World Religions' showcases the spirit of each religion; miniature models of religious architecture meticulously recreate buildings from their exterior to their interior furnishings. The 'Journey of Life Hall' presents life rituals across five stages of a person's life; the children's museum 'Planet of Love' is the first children's educational facility in the country to focus on 'life education', using interactive installations and experiential facilities to allow children to learn the true meaning of love through play and exploration. A visit to the Museum of World Religions not only helps you understand diverse religious cultures but also brings peace to your body and mind; it's both fun and meaningful, so be sure to visit in your leisure time!
