Lailai

Lailai is the area along the Northeast Coast where wave-cut platforms are most extensively developed. This coastal region is also traversed by a warm Pacific current, making it highly suitable for the growth of algae and plankton, which in turn supports a thriving fish ecosystem. The Northeast Coast is renowned throughout Taiwan for its excellent rock fishing spots, and Lailai is considered a prime location. Furthermore, its expansive wave-cut platforms, monoclines, and gravel beaches not only offer splendid scenic views but also provide secure footing for anglers. Consequently, skilled rock fishers are often seen gathering here to compete, from dawn to dusk.
