Even during the Japanese colonial era, Fulong was already a famous beach resort. The Shuangxi River flows into the sea here, creating a unique dual landscape of an inner river and an outer sea. A crescent-shaped arch bridge connects these two areas. The inner river boasts a wide, calm surface, perfect for activities like windsurfing, kayaking, and swimming. Every year, the Fulong International Sand Sculpture Art Festival (with accessible pathways) in May-June and the Gongliao Ho-Hai-Yan Rock Festival in July attract numerous visitors, making them major annual events for the Fulong area. In addition, the surrounding area boasts a wealth of nostalgic and historically rich tourist attractions. These include the Old Caoling Tunnel, which was a recipient of the 'Destination Award' at the '2015 Tourism for Tomorrow Awards,' as well as Dongxing Temple Plaza, Banyan Tree Trail, and interconnected trails linking Fulong Beach with Longmen Camping Area. Fulong Train Station offers bicycle rentals, and local delicacies such as Fulong Bento and sea jelly (shihua-dong) are available. Furthermore, to provide citizens with higher quality travel services, the management office has commissioned private enterprises to build and renovate high-quality resorts on the land designated for hotels, allowing visitors to enjoy a relaxing villa-style vacation without having to travel abroad.
