Daxi is famous for its crescent-shaped, sprawling bay with clear, sapphire-blue waters. It's often frequented by couples lingering and enjoying themselves, earning it the beautiful name 'Honeymoon Bay'. Visitors can stroll on the soft sandy beach, skip pebbles on the water, or look for ghost crabs scuttling across the ground, all contributing to its romantic atmosphere. Honeymoon Bay is flanked by reefs to the north and south, with only a small central section featuring fine, soft sand. Besides its beautiful scenery and suitability for swimming and sightseeing, its expansive nature and significant underwater topographical changes several hundred meters from the coast often generate powerful waves, reaching 2-3 meters high. This makes it a mecca for water sports and surfing, attracting many extreme sports enthusiasts annually to participate in national surfing competitions. From the trailhead next to Mingshan Temple, a walk of approximately 30 minutes leads to Ying Shijian Peak, which stands at 441 meters. From its summit, one can gaze upon Turtle Island in the distance and overlook the magnificent bay, offering vast views and beautiful scenery—another excellent option for sightseeing.
