Challenge yourself on the Northeast Coast's 'Mini Great Wall' and take in breathtaking views where the sea meets the sky. With its continuous emerald green mountain ridges, winding brown trail, complemented by blue skies, white clouds, and vast azure oceans, it creates a picturesque landscape. Bitoujiao Trail has become one of northern Taiwan's popular photo spots; with a bit of stamina and patience to ascend, beautiful photos from various angles are easily obtained. However, this area has long been a favorite hiking base for many trekkers. The wooden boardwalk, approximately 3.5 kilometers long, offers spectacular views of sea and mountain capes, fantastical sea-eroded landforms, magnificent waves crashing against the shore, and a profusion of coastal flora. Furthermore, it boasts a 360-degree panoramic view from above, with the entire Northeast Coast stretching out below your feet, allowing you to take in the breathtaking spectacle where the sky and sea merge into one. To truly savor the beauty of Bitoujiao Trail, it's recommended to set aside 2 to 3 hours. This allows for a leisurely stroll amidst the rolling hills, admiring the expansive scenery where mountains meet the sea. No matter when you visit, you'll discover its diverse charms: in the early morning, mist shrouds the mountains and trail, adding a touch of mystery; the bright midday sun illuminates the blue sky, white clouds, and the mountain-sea landscape, weaving together a postcard-perfect view; in the evening, the warm golden sunset attracts many photographers eager to capture the last rays of oblique light and the beautiful sunset. Head out this weekend and experience this 'Taiwanese Mini Great Wall' that will undoubtedly leave you lingering and full of surprises! [Important Reminders] 1. The Bitoujiao (Coastal Line) Trail is only accessible for academic and official purposes by application. 2. Due to its steep terrain and severe weathering and cracking of the rock layers, the Bitoujiao Trail Lighthouse Line poses a risk of rockfalls. For visitor safety, it is temporarily closed and not open for passage. The Bitoujiao Lighthouse is also not open for visitation.
