Nanzilin Trail

If you love both mountains and the sea, you must visit here to witness the breathtaking 360-degree panoramic views of the mountains and ocean. While 'Nanzilin Mountain' might not immediately resonate with many hikers, calling it 'Nâm-á-bīn' in Taiwanese Hokkien sounds much more familiar and endearing. Following this trail, which is less than one kilometer long, you'll find it mostly flat and easy to walk despite some inclines. Along the way, there's a resting pavilion with a viewing platform, serving as the best spot to admire the stunning scenery. From the summit, you can take in a panoramic view of the Nanya Fishing Harbor settlement, the vast bay townscape, and the lush, layered green mountains – an absolutely worthwhile experience. Additionally, on clear days, you can overlook coastal features such as Nanya Peculiar Rocks, Bitou Cape, Keelung Mountain, Keelung Islet, and the Bay of Two Colors (Yin Yang Sea), as well as the majestic mountains of Banping Mountain and Teapot Mountain. The beauty of the Northeast Coast is fully revealed at once. This is also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts. The period from April to September is ideal for capturing beautiful photos of the sunrise and sunset colors over Nanya Fishing Village. In autumn and winter, when the silvergrass is in full bloom, the swaying 'sea of silvergrass' creates a breathtakingly romantic scene.
