Yoichi Hatta Memorial Park

The Yoichi Hatta Memorial Park was established to commemorate Mr. Yoichi Hatta, the builder of the Chianan Irrigation System. Yoichi Hatta is also known as the 'Father of the Chianan Irrigation System'. In 1910, Yoichi Hatta arrived in southern Taiwan and began the extensive survey work for the Wushantou Reservoir and the Chianan Irrigation System. Located north of the Wushantou Reservoir, the Yoichi Hatta Memorial Park underwent renovation in 2009 and officially opened in 2011, featuring a complete complex of Japanese-style buildings.
