Meiling Scenic Area

Meiling is located in Wanchiu Village, Nanxi District. It is an open mountainous area with multiple hiking trails of varying difficulty levels. In the past, it was primarily known for cultivating bananas, hence its old name 'Banana Mountain.' Later, plum trees were planted, and it became known as Meiling (Plum Ridge). Visiting Meiling in May and June offers a triple treat: Tung blossoms cover the ground like 'May snow'; after the white plum blossom season, farmers begin harvesting the vibrant green plums, and the local specialty plum cuisine is sure to tantalize your taste buds; and as night falls, venture into the forest for a summer date with fireflies.
