Sicao Fort

During the Daoguang Emperor's reign of the Qing Dynasty, the First Opium War broke out between China and Britain. At that time, to prevent British forces from entering Taiwan, Yao Ying, who was then the Taiwan Defense Commissioner, proposed the construction of 17 forts in the Anping and Taijiang areas. Sicao Fort was one of them.
