Aogu Wetland

Aogu Wetland was originally a farm owned by Taiwan Sugar Corporation in Dongshi. However, due to land subsidence and seawater intrusion into the groundwater layer, the salinized farmland and fish farms were abandoned. Yet, these areas gradually reverted to their natural state, attracting numerous bird species to inhabit and overwinter here, thereby forming an exceptionally rich wetland ecosystem.
