Fulong Mountain Trail

The Fulong Mountain Trail is approximately 1,315 meters long and was originally the first section of the ancient 'Guanyin Trail', passing by 'Kaishan Lingyun Temple' and ending at 'Lingyun Chan Temple'. Due to the construction of Lingyun Road, the trail is currently divided into two sections. The entrance to the first section is next to No. 41, Section 3, Lingyun Road. This section is about 400 meters long, runs alongside a small stream with gurgling water and lush vegetation. The path has gentle inclines, making it easy to walk. The first section ends at Hongxing Local Chicken Restaurant (First Parking Lot), connecting to the paved road (North 53-1). Continue for 700 meters along this road to reach the entrance of the second section. The entire ancient trail is paved with stone steps. Lush vegetation lines the path, and towering trees with intertwining branches enhance the serene and tranquil atmosphere for pilgrims, instilling a sense of reverence and solemnity in the many visitors exploring the ancient temples. Beside the middle section of the trail is the quaint, ancient-style 'Kaishan Lingyun Temple'. Continuing uphill along the peaceful trail leads to 'Lingyun Chan Temple', which houses the 'Complete Thousand-Hand, Thousand-Eye Guanyin Bodhisattva', Taiwan's largest indoor Buddha statue. The flower corridor in the temple's rear hall enshrines Guanyin statues that once stood along the ancient trail. Originally there were 33 such holy statues, but over time, only a few of these ancient stone-carved Guanyin statues remain. The weathered marks on the statues serve as the best testament to the passing years. The trail ends between the front and rear halls of the Chan Temple. If you have good stamina, you can connect here to the 'Jianshan Trail' and continue towards 'Yingzaijianshan' and the 'Jianshan Peaks'. Alternatively, you can choose to take the 'Yinghanling Hiking Trail' from beside Kaishanyuan, located behind Lingyun Chan Temple, and then connect to the 'Fenguidouhu Trail' to descend. This completes a circular hiking tour of the Guanyinshan Trail System.
