Sanzhi Visitor Center

The Sanzhi Visitor Center is situated on a hillside surrounded by mountains, offering expansive views of the entire area. Besides providing a comfortable and spacious resting space for visitors, it also offers travel consultation, exhibition introductions, and information retrieval, making it convenient and versatile. The main building features a design that imitates Tang Dynasty architecture, with rustic yet elegant colors, showcasing a unique blend of classical and modern tastes. The Hall of Fame (Celebrity Museum) is located inside the visitor center, in front of Yuanxingju, the former residence of President Lee Teng-hui, and opened in October 2004 as a new attraction. The Hall of Fame showcases the lives and contributions of four famous figures from Sanzhi: Tu Tsung-ming, Taiwan's first doctor of medicine and a renowned physician; Jiang Wen-ye, Taiwan's first international composer; Lee Teng-hui, Taiwan's first directly elected president; and Lu Hsiu-yi, a political pioneer and legendary figure. Through their life stories, visitors can learn more about Sanzhi's remarkable tales, highlighting the region's outstanding individuals and beautiful scenery. While enjoying the vast sea and mountain views, visitors can also be inspired by the atmosphere of the Hall of Fame, cleanse their minds, and experience a new form of intellectual recreation.
