Tea Mountain Trail

Shimen District has been a tea-producing region for over a century. Located on the back slope of a coastal terrace, it is protected from the cold, damp, and salty sea winds. This, coupled with the pure water from the Datun Mountain range, creates a unique geographical advantage that makes Shimen's Tieguanyin tea mellow, delicious, and distinctly flavorful. To reach the Tea Mountain Trail, enter via County Road North 21, opposite Shimen Caoli Fishing Harbor, and follow the signs. The mountain is filled with greenery and fragrant scents; along the way, you can admire various camellia flowers planted on both sides of the trail. Walk to the end of the trail, a high point approximately 400 meters above sea level, to gaze at the Pacific Ocean, overlook the scenery of Shimen, and take in the full view of the Tea Mountain landscape. If it's a rainy day, the misty vapor creates an ethereal, hazy mountain scene, offering a different kind of charm. Continue along the Tea Mountain Trail for another 1 kilometer, and you will reach the resting place of "The Eternal Voice" – Teresa Teng's Tomb. The legendary singer sleeps peacefully at Jinbaoshan, a beautiful location facing the sea and backed by mountains. "Jùn Yuán" (筠園) was built using the character "Jùn" from her original name, Deng Lijun (鄧麗筠), allowing fans to visit anytime to remember and pay their respects.
