Ikedaya is an old Japanese-style house bearing 96 years of history, evolving from a guesthouse built by Ikeda Heitaro in 1929 to what later became the Kaohsiung Bus Station. As you step inside, the air is filled with a faint scent of hinoki cypress. The building features a U-shaped design, encompassing approximately 266 square meters. Its towering wooden structure is crafted from precious Taiwanese hinoki cypress, allowing it to remain stately and robust through the passage of time.
