Old Paiwan Tribe

The Old Paiwan Tribe is one of the important ancestral lands of the Paiwan people, preserving many precious and intact slate house ruins. In 2019, it received the Gold Award in the Culture and Heritage category from the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA). In recent years, it has also actively developed in-depth cultural and eco-tourism, leading visitors to deeply understand this thousand-year-old ancient village through activities such as traditional headdress and glass bead DIY, traditional archery experiences, stargazing under a sky full of stars, slate house tours, and slate house accommodation experiences.
