Miaochong Temple

Miaochong Temple is located at the 7km mark of Provincial Highway 27 in Liugui District. It was originally built in 1963 in the Qianzhen Caoya area of Kaohsiung City. Later, due to the Kaohsiung City Government's road widening project, the temple sought to continue propagating Buddhism. Thus, in 1984, they found the spiritually auspicious Qingliang Mountain in Liugui, and its foundation was officially laid in 1988.
