Weiliao Mountain Hiking Trail

The Weiliao Mountain Hiking Trail is located near Dajin Bridge, at the border of Sandimen Township in Pingtung County and Maolin District in Kaohsiung City. It has an elevation of approximately 1,427 meters and offers two main trailheads. One starts from the industrial road next to Dajin Bridge. Along this route, you will pass through 'Jiyi Pavilion', where you can see the Laonong River towards Liugui and the Zhuokou River within Maolin. You can then climb to a viewing platform at an elevation of 1,150 meters, offering panoramic views of Maolin and Wanshan Village. To reach the summit (trig point), you must traverse a long, steep slope that requires ropes, making it more challenging. The second trailhead is located at the 23.5K mark of the Shaxi Forest Road in Koushe. Starting from Shaxi Forest Road, the trail boasts beautiful scenery and rich flora and fauna. Ecological interpretation signs are set up along the trail.
