The Limei Evacuation Trail is located between the Lichia Tribe and the Shanmei Tribe in Alishan Township. It was an ancient trail used by the Tsou people for migration, but it fell into disuse during the Japanese colonial period when another trail, the Limei Trail, was constructed. However, after Typhoon Morakot (Typhoon 88), the Limei Trail was damaged and could no longer be used. Consequently, the villagers proposed to the Forestry Bureau to restore the Limei Evacuation Trail. After one year of renovation, it was opened in 2013. It is a two-way trail with two entrances: one is the Shanmei Entrance, which requires passing through the Danayiku Suspension Bridge, and the other is the Lichia Entrance.
