Some describe the Shizilu Forest Railway train, which resumed service in 2017, as 'returning to operation' after being lost. After an eight-year hiatus following Typhoon Morakot, the sound of the train's whistle was finally heard again in the Shizi community. Shizilu is situated on the southern edge of Shizi Village in Alishan Township. In the past, it served as a strategic pass for north-south transportation between indigenous tribes. In ancient times, it was a midway stop for travelers heading to Alishan, and also a junction point for ancient trails leading to tribes like Laiji, Dabang, and Tefuye. After the railway's completion, it became the transportation hub for the northern and southern areas of Alishan Township.
