Tefuye Ancient Trail

The Tefuye Ancient Trail, formerly known as the Shuishan Ancient Trail, was originally a hunting path opened by the Tsou people in earlier times. It also served as a route for intermarriage, visiting relatives, or engaging in battles with other tribes. During the Japanese colonial period, the latter section of the ancient trail was redeveloped into the "Shuishan Line" railway for timber transportation. The Tefuye Ancient Trail has two entrances: one is from Zizhong, located at the junction of Alishan Township and Xinyi Township, and the other can be accessed from the Tefuye community in Alishan.
