Jushi Ban Trail

From Lichia Village, follow the signs and trek southwest deep into the mountains towards "Jushi Ban." You'll pass sections alongside a stream, cross bridges, and then enter a mountain industrial road, covering approximately 8 kilometers in total. Although the journey is long, the scenery along the way is beautiful, and you can even see the back of Elephant Mountain, as well as Longtou and Gap Peak on Provincial Highway 18 (Alishan Highway). However, the natural terrain is stunningly beautiful yet challenging. Both the path to Jushi Ban and Jushi Ban itself possess these characteristics; if led by local community members familiar with the environment, the risk of travel can be significantly reduced. After navigating several winding mountain paths, reaching a steep ascent, and spotting the entrance to the "Li-Mei Evacuation Trail" which connects Lichia to Shanmei, you'll then traverse a farm road between a cliff and a bamboo forest before finally arriving at the Jushi Ban Trail parking lot.
