Zhaoping (Station and Park Area)

Zhaoping's main attractions include Zhaoping Station, Zhaoping Park (also known as Natural Park), and logging crane (pillar) remnants. The starting point of the sunrise viewing trail to Zhushan also departs from Zhaoping, taking about 40 minutes to reach Zhushan Station. The open space next to Zhaoping Station is Zhaoping Park. It was initially referred to as Natural Park during its early planning stages, but was later redefined as Zhaoping Park, considering its cultural and historical value. The park is filled with various types of alpine plants, such as Formosan cherry, Oshima cherry, Fugenzo cherry, Morii rhododendron, Japanese wisteria, ornamental apple, weeping crabapple, bridal wreath spiraea, flowering quince, winter jasmine, Japanese aucuba, hydrangea, gladiolus, broom, and daylily. In early spring, the garden bursts with vibrant spring colors, making it a famous flower-viewing spot within the recreational area. In autumn, it is adorned with Taiwan red maple and other deciduous plants, and the layers of crimson foliage deeply captivate visitors.
