Giant Tree No. 28 of the New Eight Scenic Views

This Taiwan Red Cypress is a composite tree, making it the tallest among the giant trees on the giant tree trail. It has a diameter at breast height of 4 meters and a height of 45 meters. The age of its largest main trunk is estimated to be between 1,087 and 1,103 years. Various endemic Taiwanese plants, including yellow rhododendrons and strap ferns, grow on this giant tree, showcasing a rich ecological environment.
