Tashan Strange Rocks, One of the New Eight Scenic Spots

The massive rock peak on Tashan's summit, also known as Gotō Rock, features distinct rock joints and layers, forming sheer cliffs and precipices that create rugged and unique rock formations—truly a spectacular sight. By hiking up the Tashan Trail next to the Sister Ponds, visitors can reach a viewing platform atop these unique rocks. The ultra-wide-angle view offers unobstructed panoramic scenery, allowing a bird's-eye view of the recreational area and the river landscapes of the Alishan region. From here, you can also admire the sea of clouds and beautiful sunset glow, with distant vistas of Yushan Main Peak, Xiuguluan Mountain, Duigaoyue, and other mountain ranges.
