Guangfu New Village

As Taiwan's first new town, Guangfu New Village was planned and built in 1956 following the British 'Garden City' concept. It featured neat streets, lush greenery, and modern facilities such as running water, electricity, and transportation systems, serving as dormitories for provincial government civil servants. Today, through community revitalization, it has transformed into a hub for youth entrepreneurship and cultural and artistic development. The old red-brick houses, which retain the charm of a military dependents' village, now house art studios, creative product stores, cafes, and other businesses. On weekends, there are also markets and experiential activities, making it an ideal destination to stroll, take photos, and immerse oneself in a blend of nostalgic ambiance and creative energy.
