Guguan Scenic Area

Hot springs are the most precious natural resource of the Guguan Scenic Area. Guguan hot springs originated in the Japanese Meiji era and were formerly known as 'Meiji Onsen'. Because the spring water is clear and has no sulfur odor, it is highly favored by tourists. Currently, there are various styles of hot spring pools available, including health spas, Japanese gardens, and pine forest streamside settings, making it a famous hot spring resort along the Central Cross-Island Highway.
