Tamayongan, now known as Danan and also called Nanshan, is a settlement located about 1.4 kilometers south-southeast of Hongmaoguan in Penglai Village, at an elevation of approximately 750 meters above sea level. It is named after the marshy terrain in the mountains and is a traditional Saisiyat tribal community. Currently, it comprises neighborhoods 13 and 14 of Penglai Village. Around 60 years ago, Tamayo'an was divided into two parts; the area around the current neighborhood 13 was previously called Hiyoma'an, though it is unknown if this was related to the establishment of a shrine. The Danan Tribe's economic development is primarily based on agriculture. In recent years, it has specialized in producing high-altitude vegetables, flowers, and engaging in alpine aquaculture.
