Upstream of Penglai River in Nanzhuang Township, Miaoli, there is a little-known hidden gem: the Sishierfenping Ecological Trail. The entire trail is shaded by green trees, with trickling streams along the path, the sounds of insects and birds, and fish visible in the water. This serene trail is full of life, with numerous spots perfect for observing fish. The trail is composed of wooden boardwalks and stone paths, with a gentle slope. It is approximately 400 meters long and takes about 20 minutes to complete. It's easy for most people to walk, suitable for families with elderly members and children, and especially recommended for escaping the summer heat. At the end of the Sishierfenping Trail, there is a natural spring pool, a distinctive attraction here. Its water temperature is approximately 18 degrees Celsius year-round. Clear cold spring water gushes from the rock crevices, offering coolness and refreshment in summer, and creating a misty, ethereal atmosphere like a fairyland in winter.
