Visitor Essentials
Formerly known as the 'Salt Carrying Ancient Trail', it served as a trade route between the coastal areas of Changhua and the mountainous communities of Nantou in the past. Due to its location in Dairenkeng, Baiguoshan, Yuanlin, it is also called the 'Dairenkeng Ancient Trail'. The trail was built using local stone, and its gentle terrain makes it easy to walk, perfect for an afternoon stroll. Both sides of the trail are lined with orchards, where fruit trees like starfruit, lychee, and longan grow abundantly. Visitors in summer can see the branches laden with fruit. These fruit trees, along with camphor trees, acacia trees, and Phoebe zhennan, create a rich and colorful forest landscape. Additionally, flowers such as impatiens, phalaenopsis orchids, and amaryllis bloom according to the season.
