Seven Stars Fortification Park

Songboling, situated on the highlands of the Baguashan Cliff overlooking the north bank of the Zhuoshui River, offers an excellent strategic advantage due to its commanding elevation. For this reason, in earlier years, the Ministry of National Defense established a military stronghold here to defend the Zhuoshui River and the Changhua Plain. Later, as the defensive functions of these more than 20 fortifications and command posts became obsolete, seven of the bunkers near Shoutian Temple were re-planned and renovated into the 'Seven Stars Fortification Park'. This former heavily guarded military stronghold has undergone a complete transformation, now standing as one of the most distinctive attractions in the Baguashan Scenic Area.
