Shuishe Pier is located on the northern shore of Sun Moon Lake, in the vicinity of Hanbi Peninsula. It is one of Sun Moon Lake's most bustling and vital transportation hubs, and the primary pier for visitors to take boat tours of the lake. The pier features a floating design, capable of accommodating multiple yachts and electric boats, making it convenient for visitors to depart from here and explore famous attractions such as Sun Lake, Moon Lake, and Lalu Island within the lake. Shuishe Pier is backed by the vibrant Shuishe commercial district, where numerous hotels, guesthouses, restaurants, and shops are clustered, offering convenient lodging, dining, and shopping options for visitors. Adjacent to the Shuishe Comprehensive Shopping Mall near Shuishe Pier is Sun Moon Lake's bus transfer station, serving as a crucial transportation hub for visitors heading to various attractions around the lake. It provides convenient bus services and tourist information, making it an ideal starting point for first-time visitors to Sun Moon Lake. The area around the pier features waterside walking paths and gently sloping, accessible wooden boardwalks, allowing visitors to stroll along the lake and closely admire the emerald green waters and the beauty of the surrounding mountains. Shuishe Pier is also one of the starting points for the Sun Moon Lake Cycling Path, from where cyclists can embark on a lake circuit tour, enjoying the scenic lake and mountains, as well as the natural ecosystem along the way. A parking lot and public restrooms are available near the pier, ensuring convenient transportation whether driving or taking public buses. Operating hours: Summer (approximately April to September) 07:00-18:00; Winter (approximately October to March) 08:00-17:00. In case of adverse weather conditions such as typhoons or dense fog, the pier will be temporarily closed, and ferry services will be suspended.
