Shuili Bikeway - Shuili Riverside Line

The Shuili River originates from the basins and mountainous areas of Sun Moon Lake, Toushe, Chonggui, and Wucheng. The Jiji Railway runs through its valley, leading to the secret garden of Checheng. Checheng was once a major center for Taiwan's timber industry. The bikeway follows the west bank of the Shuili River, connecting upstream to Checheng and downstream to Shuiyun Bridge and Shuili Waterfront Park. The entire path is approximately 4 kilometers long, with a very gentle slope along the riverside in the urban area. The section towards Checheng is slightly more challenging. Cycling along this route allows you to enjoy Checheng's traditional timber industry, the scenic banks of the Shuili River, and experience the simple local life of Shuili.
