Tan'nan Village belongs to the Bunun Ca'as tribe, named "Tan'nan" due to its location southwest of Sun Moon Lake. The route starts from Sun Moon Lake, follows Provincial Highway 21 south to the banks of the Zhuoshui River, then goes upstream along Provincial Highway 16, and finally takes County Road 97 north, passing through Tan'nan Village at the foot of Shuishe Mountain before returning to Sun Moon Lake. This cycling route offers both natural beauty and challenging climbs, making it suitable for riders who regularly train and enjoy pushing their limits.
