Jiji Military History Park is Taiwan's first theme park showcasing retired Republic of China Armed Forces weaponry, covering an area of over 2,000 ping (approximately 6,600 square meters). The park was established after the 921 Earthquake in 1999. It was collaboratively built by the Jiji Township Office and central government units to revitalize local tourism and promote national defense education, becoming a unique attraction that combines tourism, recreation, and military culture. The park displays various retired military equipment from the Army, Navy, and Air Force, including F-104 fighter jets, C-119 transport aircraft, M18, M41, and M48 tanks, howitzers, Nike missiles, and amphibious landing vehicles. This allows visitors to feel as if they are on a battlefield, gaining a deep understanding of the ROC Armed Forces' history and weapon development. The park's distinctive red-brick fortress-like building has become a popular photo spot, adding to its charm and historical atmosphere. Jiji Military History Park has undergone landscape improvements and inclusive playground facility planning, adding amenities like a parent-child play area, nest swings, and seesaws, making it a recreational spot suitable for the whole family. The park offers ample parking and public restrooms, boasts convenient transportation, and is approximately 800 meters from Jiji Railway Station, allowing visitors to easily walk or cycle there.
