Formerly the decommissioned Checheng Elementary School, it has been meticulously revitalized by the Sun Moon Lake National Scenic Area Administration. The original appearance of the school gate and grandstand has been preserved, transforming the old 'Xuehaitang' school building into a visitor center serving travelers. While the building's exterior retains the school's simplicity and sense of order, the campus holds a surprise: a giant real locomotive (R100 series - R114) and blue passenger car (35SPK32700 series) have driven onto the playground, and the grandstand has been transformed into a unique waiting shelter. This blend of old and new design makes it both a transportation hub and a warm space that evokes elementary school memories in everyone. [Nostalgic Tour of the Last Train Station] After checking in at the 'Classroom,' follow the path inward, and you will enter a true secret garden—the last train station, Checheng Station. Within the Checheng area, you'll discover the mirror-like log pond, where bald cypress trees and overhead cranes are reflected in the water, creating Checheng's most picturesque scenery. The adjacent Wood Industry Exhibition Hall emits a rich cypress aroma, allowing you to experience the joy of woodworking DIY firsthand.
