Zhengde Giant Buddha

Zhengde Puli Great Buddha Mountain is home to the world's tallest outdoor gilded Amitābha Buddha. It has a total weight of 1230 tons, stands 170 feet tall, and covers an area of 240 ping. The Buddha's body is made of 320 tons of bronze, supported by a 910-ton steel frame, and is composed of 808 bronze plates with 396 hair curls. It is located in the Puli mountainous area, known for its pleasant scenery and intertwined mountain peaks. All buildings were personally planned and designed by the founder and patriarch, Master Chang-Lu. The entire complex features rustic and elegant Japanese-style architecture. Furthermore, the various well-equipped facilities around the Great Buddha will serve diverse educational functions, guiding more people to learn about Buddhism and find peace of mind.
