Xiangshan Overlook Platform

The Xiangshan Overlook Platform is a cantilevered viewing platform, approximately 10 meters high, reachable by walking about 400 meters from the path next to the Xiangshan Visitor Center. The platform features a steel structure and an open grid design, extending over the lake's surface. This creates a unique visual sensation as if floating on the water, and also an illusion of diving into the lake. Walking on it, you can even feel a slight swaying motion, adding excitement and fun. (However, be careful with personal belongings; if something accidentally falls out, it could drop through the open grates into Sun Moon Lake.) From the platform, visitors can enjoy a 270-degree panoramic view, taking in famous attractions such as Sun Moon Lake's Shuishe Dam, Hanbi Peninsula, Lalu Island, Xuanguang Temple, and Xuanzang Temple. The stunning lake and mountain scenery is all within sight. The ecological trail next to the platform is lush with greenery, perfect for a stroll to appreciate the natural scenery, and an excellent spot for photographing the lake views and enjoying a tranquil atmosphere.
