Shuanglong Rainbow Suspension Bridge Park

Starting January 1st (2025), Shuanglong Waterfall Park will be open to visitors with self-driving vehicles. Shuanglong Waterfall is located southeast of Shuanglong Village. It is divided into an upper and lower waterfall, resembling twin dragons in the sky, hence its name. It takes about 60 minutes to reach Shuanglong Waterfall from the Catholic Church. Along the way, visitors can admire the beauty of Shuanglong village and its terraced fields. The forest path leading to the waterfall is lined with mountain cherry and plum trees. During blooming season, the faint fragrance of flowers fills the air, slightly easing the fatigue of the journey. Opened in 2020, the Shuanglong Rainbow Suspension Bridge is 342 meters long and 110 meters deep at its lowest point, making it the longest and deepest suspension bridge in Taiwan. It spans a magnificent valley, offering a challenging experience. With its well-maintained circular walking path and viewing platforms, it is ideal for leisurely walks in the forest, enjoying fresh air, and experiencing the beauty of indigenous culture. The Water Source Suspension Bridge is exclusively for transporting drinking water pipes. Only maintenance personnel are allowed to enter this restricted area; it is not accessible to the general public. There is also a swift-flowing irrigation canal, though not wide, its current is strong and magnificent. It supplies irrigation water for all the village's agricultural crops. The beautiful source of Shuanglong Waterfall is vital for the livelihood of the entire village. Turning into the downstream waterfall area of the gorge, known as the 'Black Forest,' the roar of the waterfall grows from a murmur to a mighty sound. Admire the powerful waters cascading down the mountain wall, and enjoy the refreshing mist, as if the dust of the mundane world has been washed away. After visiting Shuanglong Waterfall, you'll feel like a 'lively dragon' yourself! The old Water Source Suspension Bridge is for inspection and maintenance workers only; visitors are prohibited from entering. Opening hours for Shuanglong Rainbow Suspension Bridge: Thursday to Tuesday, 08:00–17:00. Closed every Wednesday. Last entry to the bridge is 15:30. The bridge will be temporarily closed due to typhoons, other natural disasters, or maintenance work. For opening information, please contact the service hotline.
