Knock Knock Wood Workshop

"Knock Knock Wood Workshop" originated in 1969, stemming from the prosperous logging industry in Puli. Founded by the three Shi brothers as "Haishan Handicraft Co.", it specialized in producing nutcrackers and music boxes, making it one of the few factories in Taiwan manufacturing such products at the time. With industrial changes, in 2012, the second-generation owner Shi Wen-jie transformed it into an experience-focused woodworking workshop, allowing visitors to DIY various wooden products firsthand, promoting Puli's woodworking culture and the value of traditional craftsmanship. Knock Knock Wood Workshop is located in Puli Township, Nantou County. The factory's exterior is modest, but its interior space is carefully planned, featuring multiple exhibition and DIY experience zones, making it suitable for families. The DIY projects are diverse, including music boxes, animal photo frames, carousels, painted nutcrackers, and more. The experience time is approximately 15 to 60 minutes. Online reservations are recommended on weekdays, while walk-ins are welcome on holidays. Knock Knock Wood Workshop not only preserves Puli's woodworking industry memories but also allows visitors to experience the warmth of wood and the charm of craftsmanship through hands-on creation, making it a must-visit unique attraction in Puli. Opening hours are Thursday to Monday, 09:30 AM to 04:30 PM. Closed on weekdays from 12:00 PM to 01:30 PM.
